Chris Brown Wins 2011 BET Award for Best Male R&B Artist
Tonight are the 2011 BET Awards, and Chris Brown snagged the first award tonight for Best Male R&B Artist. Brown had some stiff competition in the category, beating out Cee Lo Green, Bruno Mars, Trey Songz and Usher out for the award.
Brown walked onstage wearing a bedazzled black bandana tied around his neck, a white tall tee with a signature on the upper right side of his chest, denim shorts, and red sneakers. The R&B hitmaker was also rocking his bleach blond hairdo.
When he started his acceptance speech, Brown admitted he was surprised by the win and hadn't prepared a speech. The 'She Ain't You' singer thanked his fans for their support, saying, "I do this for them." Brown also addressed his bad press as of late, saying, "It's been a long road," but went on to say he was thankful for being so blessed.
Brown will take the stage later tonight at the 2011 BET Awards for a performance we're sure will be chock full of crazy dance routines.
