Chris Brown has put down the microphone -- but just temporarily. The newly-blond R&B singer is extending his passion for music as art and has decided to dabble with art itself.

Brown debuted three of his art pieces through his Twitter page this week, giving his fans the first look at a new hobby he plans on taking very seriously.

In the first piece, the back of a naked woman is pictured with a graffiti filled background, titled 'Falling in Love.' The second picture, which he calls 'Shadow Walker,' showcases a super hero theme. Lastly, 'Dream Date,' shows the same woman from the first piece.

"I fell in love with art around the age of six," Brown tells The BoomBox. "I always took pride in kind of winning the coloring contests in school Art was my only outlet. Aside from music, art is the thing that I like to escape. I appreciate other artists who have that talent and that eye for detail and eye for their own imagination. Art is a part of my life, and it influences me completely."

Brown's new album, 'F.A.M.E.' -- which will feature a colorful self-portrait as the cover art -- hits stores on March 18.
