The Chris Brown and Drake crew/entourage fight at an N.Y.C. nightclub may have lasted just one round --it left Breezy with a deep gash on his chin, the photo of which he tweeted then deleted -- but the media speculation is spiraling out of control. This is escalating into a full-scale war.

The latest news regarding the battle bottle? Strap yourself in. This is a bumpy ride. It's not clear who started with who, who actually hit who and why violence ensued.

Rihanna, who is reportedly the reason the fight started, was not on site, even though she was in N.Y.C. at the time. Drizzy (who has yet to personally comment on the altercation) reportedly rejected a Breezy peace offering and made mention of being with the love of Brown's life, thought to be RiRi. That set things off.

While there has been no proof of this, Us Weekly reports that a source said that the 'Where Have You Been' singer is reveling in the drama, saying "She loves this. Men fighting over her? Are you kidding? Of course. [She] loves the drama."

RiRi reportedly received texts from everyone telling her what happened. Her response? "She just laughed. She's spoken to both of them and just thinks it's crazy," the source added. "She's glad she wasn't there though!"

On the converse, a source told HollywoodLife that RiRi is a wreck over the fact that her ex (Breezy) and rumored hook up (Drizzy) are battling it out over her, since she cares about both men.

This source said, "When she heard they were fighting and apparently over her, she shook her head and was like, ‘You’ve got to be f---ing kidding me." The anonymous insider went on to say, "She clearly doesn’t want anyone fighting and especially not over her. She saw the pic Chris tweeted and her face turned upside down. She’s a little distraught over this and hopes both of them are all right."

Ah, not so fast! Radar Online is reporting that Brown made a beeline for Rihanna post-fight. Their story indicates that Ri did more than frown over Breezy's injury. They met up at the 40/40 club, owned by her boss Jay-Z. "Those two have a thing for each other that will never die, no matter what, and they're on their way to really being back together," the Radar source said. "Chris just adores her. And she tended to him, making sure the gash on his chin from the fight was okay."

Another source told Us Weekly that it was not Breezy and Drizzy putting up their dukes, but their respective posses causing the fracas. "Chris and Drake never got in each other's faces. It was entourage versus entourage, never Drake versus Chris," so said an observer.

There is also a story circulating from the Associated Press (courtesy of The Washington Post), which reports that Brown was approached first and asked if he had a problem with Drake. He tried to split and that's when glass began flying, with some of it hitting him in the chin.

Breezy was not the sole person injured. A victim who sustained collateral damage spoke out, while Drake's reps said he was not involved. Meanwhile, Breezy issued one short tweet, while images of his bodyguard's head gash were splashed across TMZ, too.

TMZ also published a photo showing that Breezy was drinking champagne before the fracas. He was shirt-free and surrounded by partying friends and his security detail known as Big Pat. It looks like a photo from a video shoot, and you can see it below.

There's also a dangerous and problematic side to this story, namely for Brown, who is on probation and needs to walk a straight and narrow path.

TMZ also reported that a dreadlocked member of Breezy's crew was throwing gang signs Drake's way and made death threats to his entourage, according to witnesses. Breezy was a at VIP table with 16 people, with the gang sign thrower being the instigator, resulting in the bottle battle. He supposedly yelled out, "Somebody's gonna die." This person also lashed out at Meek Mill, saying, "F--- you, we're gonna kill you n----." Breezy was said to have embraced him, to show he was a homie.

However, if Breezy is associating with gangs, that is some bad news, since one of his probation conditions, stemming from his violent fight with Rihanna when they were dating, is that he cannot consort with gangs.

Whew. Still with us? This is one hot mess. Anyone directly involved want to speak up and clear the air?
