Chris Brown was back in the news this week after he stormed off the set of ABC's 'Good Morning America' after being asked about his ex-girlfriend, Rihanna and the 2009 altercation between them.

On his way out of the building, Brown threw a cooler in the hallway and allegedly broke a window in his dressing room by throwing a chair into it.

Brown now feels remorse for his actions on the 'GMA' set, saying that it was something he regrets doing for many reasons.

"First of all, I want to apologize to anybody who was startled in the office, or anybody who was offended or really looked, and [was] disappointed at my actions, because I'm disappointed in the way I acted," Brown tells BET's106 & Park [quotes via ABSNews.com]. "[I just had to release] the anger that I had inside of me. Yes, I got very emotional, and I apologize for acting like that."

During Wednesday's episode of 'GMA,' host Robin Roberts, who interviewed Brown prior to his outburst, said the singer is welcomed back to the show any time, and that ABC will not be pressing charges.

"I wish him the absolute best," Roberts says. "We extended the invitation to him [to come back], and sure hope he takes us up on it because I'd sure love to have another chat with him."

Brown's latest album, 'F.A.M.E.,' hit stores on Tuesday, and is trending to be No. 1 on the Billboard charts.
