Chris Brown, pop music's self-styled, always-in-trouble martyr, went to jail on Monday, Aug. 5. Yes, jail. He also threatened to quite music.

Brown turned himself in a day early in Los Angeles for the hit-and-run case. He was due to report today, Aug. 6, but he instead served his time a day early. That's called getting it over with.

Breezy reported to a jail in Van Nuys, Calif. at 2PM, which was pre-arranged by his lawyer, Mark Geragos. They did so to avoid the paparazzi nightmare that comes along with such things as a celeb reporting to jail.

The singer was booked and released on his own recognizance, so says TMZ. He did not have to pay bail. He was in, out and done in 45 minutes. He made sure to show up after 50 Cent's appearance was over, since there were tons of snappers on site for that.

This case was a headache for Breezy, since it threatened his freedom and his probation stemming from the Rihanna beating case.

Breezy seems to be unsatisfied as of late. He may be done with music after 'X.' It's not pure for him anymore, and he expressed that dissatisfaction via a pair of tweets. His music is not recognized for its merit, but for his cult of celebrity and negative fame, making him not want to continue with it.

It ain't easy being Breezy.
