We haven't heard a big ballad from Chris Brown since the piano-driven song 'No BS' from his 2010 mixtape 'Fan of a Fan.' So, it was a welcome relief to hear Brown sing his heart out on the sentimental tune, 'Open Road (I Love Her).' Initially, Brown was going to include the track on his next album 'Fortune,' but it leaked onto the Internet -- and we are so glad that it did.

'Open Road' is a beautiful song with its oriental sounds, soft piano tinkles and orchestral violins. On the track, the heartbroken R&B crooner reflects on his mistakes and yearns for his true love back after being neglectful of her love.

"I should've been a better man / Instead of wasting time / Spending my life searching for the finer things / You always gave me another chance to make it right / But I didn't deserve it / Because I didn't understand," Breezy sings.

Despite the leak, if Brown does choose to promote the song, 'Open Road' deserves a proper campaign with an accompanying music video. It's a great departure from his ubiquitous dance singles on the radio and it shows a side of the singer we should hear more from in the future.
