At last year's BET Awards, Chris Brown performed a histrionic tribute to Michael Jackson, which many critics and pop culture watchers thought was over-the-top, with Brown crying as he cavorted on stage. He redeemed himself this year at the 2011 BET Awards with an actual performance medley of his own songs.

Brown opened with 'She Ain't You,' wearing a fancy grey suit with a black button down and Lady Gaga-sized shoulder pads in the blazer and some sort of bulging tumor-shaped appendages at the knees. While Breezy made an unusual fashion statement, he was surrounded by projections of blue waves that turned yellow and orange as he sang and danced.

He then shed the grey attire for all black ensemble that looked easier to shake his groove thang in, and the singer proceeded to drop his fair share of "s" bombs throughout the performance, which also included 'Deuces,' 'Look at Me Now' and 'Paper Scissors Rock,' the latter of which he ended by acrobatically flipping down the stage.

Breezy was not solo, though. He was joined by Busta Rhymes, who also used plenty of, um, colorful language, as well. What do they care, though? They're getting paper, to borrow a phrase from their own damn song.

The performance was right there in Brown's wheelhouse, as he was able to dance and show off his moves, instead of forcefully trying to demonstrate to the public that he had a sensitive side by paying a weepy tribute to the King of Pop after his infamous altercation with ex-girlfriend Rihanna. It was definitely an entertaining rebound.
