Former 'American Idol' contestant Chris Medina stopped by the set of 'Live With Regis and Kelly' this morning to talk about his recent elimination from 'American Idol' and his plans for the future. The singer touched all of our hearts with his heartbreaking and inspirational story about his fiancee's accident; and Americans everywhere were shocked last week when Medina was eliminated from the competition.

When Medina was ousted from the competition, judge Jennifer Lopez had to deliver the bad news to the 'Idol' hopeful and later broke down in tears because she felt so bad. However, Medina didn't know about Jennifer Lopez's breakdown until after the show aired. "I saw it at home. Everyone in the room was crying except for me [laughs]. [But] I had this idea that is was going to happen while I was there," Medina tells Regis and Kelly.

Kelly Ripa was also crying at home, saying, "I feel like everybody cried. I was crying, my mother-in-law -- we were all at home crying." When Medina began talking about his fiancee Juliana, who as many know suffered devastating injuries after being involved in a car accident, Ripa began to cry once again. She even had to toss a box of tissues to an audience member in the front row who was getting teary-eyed!

Although Medina was eliminated, there is some speculation of him returning as the wild card, but Medina himself won't be getting his hopes up, saying, "I'm not sure. I don't know if that will happen." He also tells Regis and Kelly that he would possibly audition again next year, saying, "We'll see what happens. I'm up to the idea."

Regis Philbin also asked about Medina's fiancee, to which Medina replies, "She's doing great. It was like a magic kiss. Steven Tyler's magic kiss. It was fantastic. It was when people who are superstars kind of become real at that moment."

Even if Medina was let go on 'Idol,' the singer is still making strides in the music industry with the release of a new single. Medina says, "I'm going to try and write a little more. The great Rodney Jerkins wrote a song for me. He was inspired by this whole thing. [It's called] 'What Are Words.' And a portion of the proceeds go to the Juliana Recovery Fund."

The Julianna Recovery Fund collects money to help with the care and recovery of Medina's fiancee, Juliana Ramos. Click here to download Medina's new single, 'What Are Words,' and stay tuned for more Chris Medina updates on PopCrush.
