Funnyman Chris Rock made a quick snipe about Chris Brown during his appearance on NBC's 'TODAY' show on Thursday morning (June 7). While Matt Lauer was commenting on the beautiful weather in New York, Rock manage to sneak in a quick joke about the R&B singer.

In anticipation of Breezy's outdoor performance on Friday morning (June 8), Lauer commented, "We're hoping the same kind of weather hits us tomorrow when we've got Chris Brown out on the plaza." Rock, who was on the show to promote his animated flick 'Madagascar 3,' quickly threw in an indirect pun at Brown. "Did you say you hope the same weather hits you?" he quipped, adding, "I hope some weather doesn't smack us upside the head."

While everyone was red-faced by Rock's remark, including Lauer, weatherman Al Roker was having a good laugh in his seat. 'Sesame Street' star Elmo, who was there to chat about the upcoming Olympics in London, chimed in and said that he'll try to "make it wholesome."

Good luck with that, Elmo!

Of course, Rock's joke was is relation to Brown's disreputable incident in 2009, in which he assaulted Rihanna before the 51st Grammy Awards. Hopefully, Brown doesn't go on a Twitter rant and tries to slander Rock like he did Brian McKnight the other day.
