The coaches of 'The Voice' teamed up for a medley of classic hits by Queen to kick off the first live show of NBC's singing-competition.

Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine got the medley started by singing the first verse of Queen's 'Bohemian Rhapsody.' He was then followed by Cee Lo Green, who performed the beginning of the anthem 'We Will Rock You.' Country crooner Blake Shelton then took over for the song's second verse, while Levine rocked a guitar solo.

Christina Aguilera then appeared to belt out the first lines of 'We Are the Champions' before she was joined by the other three celebrity coaches for the tune's chorus. While the medley got off to an intriguing start, the end was a little mucky, with the foursome looking like a mismatched grouping and Aguilera's over-the-top vocals drowning out the others.

Still, it was a dramatic way to launch the live shows after several weeks of taped auditions and battle rounds. The performance set the stage for the the individual live performances by the members of Team Aguilera and Team Shelton.
