So, you've got a song that's been shortlisted for a 2016 Oscar nomination. One way to draw some extra attention to your tune? Invite a bevy of your most famous and talented friends for a giant celebration of the song and movie.

And so, that's exactly what songwriting legend Linda Perry did last night (Jan. 5) in a private party to garner attention for her Freeheld anthem "Hands Of Love," performed by Miley Cyrus. Luckily for us, someone at the party managed to capture the superstar performances of the evening.

The Voice icon Christina Aguilera, longtime friend and collaborator of Perry (the two gave us "Beautiful," "Hurt" and about a dozen others), further proved that it's about time for her re-arrival to the music scene in 2016 with a stirring rendition of John Lennon's "Mother." Marc Malkin reports that Lady X warned she was recovering from a flu, but...just listen to those pipes. SAY-NG, QUEEN. No illness (or any other flaws for that matter) detected.

Later on, Courtney Love performed an appropriately dreary, angst-ridden rendition of Radiohead classic "Creep." Watch until the end as she truly unleashes — powerful stuff.
