After a couple years away, English electropop duo La Roux are back on the music festival circuit, hitting up Coachella and a number of European events. This will be the second Coachella appearance for Elly Jackson and Ben Langmaid, who took the stage in 2010 to promote their self-titled debut album, which went on to achieve big success worldwide.

‘La Roux’ spawned the hits ‘Bulletproof’ and ‘In for the Kill,’ and now the band is finally ready to release its follow-up, expected later in 2013. We’re still not sure exactly what to expect from the next record – in 2010, Jackson said the album would be “less commercial” than its predecessor, and by last year she said the new music was inspired by Nile Rodgers of disco-soul legends Chic.

Whatever the next La Roux album sounds like, we’re sure that Coachella attendees would love to hear some of the new material. Jackson wouldn’t give anything away on the group’s website, but did tell her fans, “Can't wait to get out on the road again and for you to hear what I've been doing for the last year.”
