Cody Simpson and James Maslow are facing off in Round 1 of the Hottest Star of 2014 competition! Both pop star hotties competed on 'Dancing With the Stars' this year, but only one can move on to Round 2 in the hope of ultimately being crowned Hottest Star of 2014. Who has your vote?

Cody Simpson thinks that intelligence is the sexiest trait that a person can have, and we couldn't agree more. Cody was at the top of his class this year, graduating as his high school's valedictorian -- no easy feat, especially when you're one of the hottest pop stars in the world today. Of course, Cody also heated up the music front, particularly with his smoking hot 'Surboard' music video and the fact that he recently hit the studio with Justin Bieber. Cody also showed off his dance moves on 'DWTS,' and nabbed a nomination for Best Male Artist at the 2014 Radio Disney Awards.

James Maslow is Hottest Star's reigning champ, winning the honor last year. But this year James is even hotter (if that's possible!), thanks to those sexy, shirtless dances on 'DWTS' and that realer-than-real kiss he shared with dance partner Peta Murgatroyd. (We're still freaking out about it!) But one of the things that makes James such a strong contender for the title is his genuine heart of gold, which he demonstrated while making one fan with Down Syndome's dream come true by hosting a private prom for her. It doesn't get much sweeter than that.
