Attention aspiring musicians: If you're interested in opening for Coldplay, it doesn't hurt your chances to have a label boss who's friends with singer Chris Martin -- or to cover one of the band's songs on your debut album. Just ask Frank Ocean and Rita Ora, who were just announced as two of the openers for Coldplay's upcoming European tour.

The band's jaunt across the continent, which lasts from mid-May through late September, will find them traveling with a revolving lineup of openers that includes Marina & the Diamonds and Robyn in addition to the just-announced Ocean and Ora. Rita will join the tour first, helping kick off the tour on the first date and staying through June 10. Ocean is scheduled to make his first appearance August 28 and continue through the final show on September 22.

Ocean's association with Coldplay goes back to last February, when he included a cover of the band's 'Strawberry Swing' on his debut mixtape, 'nostalgia, Ultra.' Later in the year, he made an appearance on 'Watch the Throne,' the joint project from Kanye West and Jay-Z -- the latter of whom has been pals with Martin for years.

That friendship no doubt came in handy for Ora, who's currently making the publicity rounds as the newest artist on Jay-Z's Roc Nation label. She's certainly happy about the tour -- as she put it on Twitter, "Im so excited to be SUPPORTING COLDPLAY ON TOUR!!"
