Season 4 alum Constantine Maroulis -- known for being one of the best rockers in 'American Idol' history -- was back for a performance on tonight's episode, belting out the classic, mournful ballad, 'Unchained Melody.' With his leather jacket, fingerless leather gloves, open white t-shirt and his cascade of curls, Maroulis looked every inch the rock star. He even affixed a scarf to his mic stand, a la Steven Tyler.

While Maroulis started off a little flat, he erupted by the middle of the song, reminding us why he was invited back to sing tonight. Maroulis -- a Tony nominee (thanks to his work in 'Rock of Ages') -- is proof that you don't need to win the 'Idol' crown in order to go on to have a successful career. He also showed a picture of his beautiful new daughter!

Looks like life is kind to Constantine Maroulis, who was appreciative about being able to come back to 'Idol.'
