Jay-Z will surely upend the rap world with his album 'Magna Carta Holy Grail,' on July 4, but HOV is gonna get straight grunge on his twelfth studio album. And by grunge, we mean it in every sense of the word.

Courtney Love confirmed to the Huffington Post that she gave Jay-Z the a-okay to use the lyrics to Nirvana's legendary track 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' on his upcoming album. The Hole singer said, "I'm letting Jay-Z use lyrics -- Frances would freak [if she knew this.] Jay-Z's huge and we're friends. I mean we're not besties or anything ... they [used the lyrics] without asking, which is kind of nervy but the business side has been taken care of so it's fine."

The girl Frances Courtney Love is speaking of is, of course, her daughter Frances Bean Cobain. The way this quote reads we can't really tell if Frances will freak out in a good or bad way about her dad's lyrics being used by Jay-Z. If it were us, we would be honored, but that may not be the case for Frances.

We have to say though, Jay-Z has got some serious chutzpah using Nirvana lyrics without permission. We guess that's sort of the nature of the rap game these days.

We can't wait to hear how Jay-Z weaves in such well-known lyrics to his new material. He's always keeping us on our toes!
