Mark Ballas of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ was in a car crash on Monday afternoon (May 16). The professional dancer was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment.

The TV star was driving in Los Angeles, turning right onto another street when a speeding car slammed into his back right side, TMZ reported. Mark’s girlfriend drove him to the nearby hospital, where he was treated for whiplash and back pain.

Though the doctors prescribed Mark with pain medication, it’s likely the dancer will still struggle with his upcoming musical performance. The 28-year-old is scheduled to put on a show this week that requires him to sing, dance and play his guitar. There has been no announcement as to whether he’ll recover fully in time.

TMZ also reports that five men in the other involved vehicle claimed that the accident was Mark’s fault, but an eyewitness stepped forward and relayed to the police officer on site that the other driver had been speeding. Mark’s car was towed away after the police report was filed.

We’re glad to hear Mark is okay, and we hope he recovers in time for his show!
