‘Dancing With the Stars’ Week 3: Janel Parrish Gives ‘Star-Making’ Performance [VIDEOS]

Janel Parrish brought the emotion during last night's (Sept. 29) episode of 'Dancing With the Stars.' The evening, which had a 'Movie Night' theme, featured the couples showing off their moves to film soundtracks.

Although her week 3 performance faced a minor speed bump that involved redoing the choreography, Janel and her partner Val Chmerkovskiy wowed the audience. Both the actress and the seasoned veteran nailed their jazz dance, set to the iconic 'America' from 'West Side Story.'

The judges were clearly impressed, noting that the performance was a career-changing moment for Janel.

"That wasn't just a good dance or [performance]," Julianne Hough said. "You just opened up so many doors to your career."

Bruno Tonioli added, "My darling, this is your star-making turn!"

The audience was tearing up, Janel was tearing up, we were all tearing up. Her performance was that good.

However, we were also wowed by YouTube star Bethany Mota's dance to 'Singing in the Rain.' (Added bonus: There was actually a rain machine on set!) Bethany and Derek's jazz dance was an energetic homage to Gene Kelly's iconic performance -- and landed the duo a perfect score.
