Darren Shahlavi, who was a martial artist and actor that appeared in television shows like 'Mortal Kombat: Legacy' and 'Arrow' was, sadly, confirmed dead today (Jan. 20), according to Deadline.

Darren reportedly passed away in his sleep on Jan. 14 at the age of 42. A cause of death has not yet been revealed to the public, but according to TMZ, he may have died of an overdose on prescription medication. They go on to report that Darren reportedly had a history of drug and alcohol abuse. However, the Los Angeles County Coroner has not yet concluded their toxicology tests and has yet to name a definitive cause of death.

Darren's 'Arrow' co-star, Stephen Amell, took to Twitter to express his sorrow in losing him, saying, "RIP Darren Shahlavi. 1st guy I ever fought on 'Arrow.' He was a great dude & a patient, thoughtful partner. Fight looked good because of him."

We'd like to extend our deepest sympathies and condolences to Darren's family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
