David Cook explains the meaning behind his new album title 'This Loud Morning' and gives his thoughts on Season 10 of 'American Idol' in a new interview with Idolator.

The former 'AI' champ says 'This Loud Morning' was inspired by the good and bad experiences from his last tour, when he played for huge crowds around the world but also lost his brother, who succumbed to a long battle with brain cancer.

"The title kinda encapsulates all that," he says. "I love the way it plays - 'loud' implying abrasive and strong, and then 'morning' meaning beautiful. It's the beginning of the day, a new beginning. I really feel like, with this record, it's kind of a re-introduction. I've been out of the limelight for a bit."

The Season 7 'AI' winner also offers his thoughts about the current season: "I've really kinda bought into the Casey Abrams vibe. At this point, it's still anybody's game, and somebody's really gonna have to step up and separate themselves from the pack."

'This Loud Morning,' featuring the new single 'The Last Goodbye,' will hit stores on June 28.
