Upon its premiere in 1998, Dawson's Creek quickly garnered a loyal audience that was hungry for coming-of-age programming. Set in and around the fictional town of Capeside, Massachusetts, the show told the story of four friends who lived through the trials of teenage and early-20s life across six seasons. It was nominated for numerous awards (it won a GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding TV Drama Series) and it became a defining show for the WB.

Famous for producing that GIF of James Van Der Beek’s face, as well as featuring the first male gay kiss on United States prime time television, Dawson’s Creek continues to live on in our hearts, though it waved a final goodbye in 2003.
