Death Cab for Cutie are getting fans amped for the release of their seventh studio album, 'Codes and Keys,' with the release of their indie pop single, 'You Are a Tourist.' Although the quartet has described their latest LP as having an electronica, keyboard-driven sound, the lead single from 'Codes and Keys' is reminiscent of classic, mid-tempo Death Cab tracks.

As they have done many times in the past, Death Cab kicks off 'You Are a Tourist' with a fuzzy blend of instruments that steadily climbs in pitch and clarity. The central beat then starts up, with a steady bass line, pounding drums, and a groovy, melodic guitar riff. 'You Are a Tourist' also features Ben Gibbard's signature lyricism, with lyrics about longing and conflicted emotions:

"And if you feel just like a tourist / In the city you were born / Then it's time to go / And define your destination / With so many different places to call home / Cause when you find yourself a villain / In the story you have written / It's plain to see / That sometimes the best intentions / Are in need of redemption would you agree?"

The video for 'You Are a Tourist' will premiere on April 5 on the official Death Cab website, and is "the first, live, scripted, one-take music video shoot. Ever." Death Cab for Cutie will kick off a tour this May, and will continue to tour throughout the US until mid-August. 'Code and Keys' is set to hit retailers on May 31.
