What Big Contract Did Demi Lovato Just Sign?

Demi Lovato just teased some “big news,” promising she will share whatever that is with fans very soon. The “Heart Attack” singer posted a photo of a pair of pens on her Instagram, writing, “Big deal pens for big deal contracts… Big news coming very soon!!!!! Ahhhh… So excited!!!!!!”

Consider our interest piqued. While we’ll have to hold tight to see just what these contracts lead to, fans speculated in the comments section about everything from a new record label deal and/or a follow-up to 2013’s Demi to a judge's contract renewal for The X Factor. Or, maybe Lovato and a reunited Jonas Brothers will announce the long-awaited Camp Rock 3 for the Disney Channel. Wait… no one else is waiting for that?

Hopefully, Lovato’s “big deal contracts” are the sign of a commitment to exciting projects to come -- long-term commitment was a point of contention regarding an old tattoo the singer recently covered with some brand-new ink. Last month, Lovato got a lip tattoo covered up with a rose, jokingly suggesting that the old tattoo looked more like a vagina than it did a pair of lips, writing, “Bye bye [lipstick mark emoji] and hello [rose emoji]… Thank you SO MUCH to my brother @GEESPOTAT2… It looks beaaauutiful and I LOVE it!! #RIPvaginatattoo #kidsdontdodrugs.”

The whole thing led to a public feud with the artist who inked the original tattoo; she claimed Lovato didn’t pay for her work and alleged that the singer was drunk when she got it.

Lovato responded with a self-aware backhanded apology, writing that she “wouldn’t be admitting to the fact that you tattooed a very intoxicated 18 year old on a tour bus without the proper judgement [sic] that most legit tattoo artists have.”
