Demi Lovato is playing favorites on 'X Factor' -- and the contestant she's rooting for the most may surprise fans of the show.

Lovato, who's coaching the Young Adults on the show, is cheering on someone from her own team, but not the contestant we originally thought! “Of course, I’m rooting for the people in my category," Lovato told Hollywood Life, "but in particular probably the one I’m rooting for the most may be Jennel Garcia. She’s amazing!”

We thought Lovato would be rooting for Jillian Jensen, who shared an anti-bullying sob story with the panel before breaking down in tears during her audition -- and still singing through it! (How did she do that?!) Lovato and Jensen seemed like kindred spirits, so we're surprised at her pick. But we agree, Jennel can sing her butt off when she doesn't let her nerves or tendency to overdo it get the best of her.

Garcia's audition, a rollicking rendition of Grace Potter and the Nocturnals' 'Paris (Ooh La La)' earned a standing ovation from the audience as well as unanimous praise from the panel. L.A. Reid called her "a feisty little power ball,” while Britney Spears concurred, “I was not expecting that. That was absolutely incredible, amazing.”

Perhaps the reason why Demi loves Jennel so much is because the 18-year-old belter is one of the few things that she and Simon Cowell can agree on. At her audition, Lovato told Garcia that she was “on fire,” while Cowell told her that she was what was missing from the pop charts. We think we have our frontrunner!
