Our inner Lovatic is freaking. Out. Demi Lovato recently sat down with MTV to chat about her next album and, guys, this sounds amazing.

While we would happily accept new music right now, Demi admitted that it won't be out anytime soon.

“I am working on a new album,” she revealed, adding, “I think that I’ll be so extremely busy with the world tour. It won’t come out for a while, but I'm taking a different level with my music where I'm branching out and making it more organic."

But when it does drop, here's what we can expect:

"I'm literally influenced by every single type of music," Demi explains. "One day I'm feeling soulful, the other day I'm feeling country, the other day I'm feeling R&B and I want to dance. I'll never know until I decide which songs are on the album and it may be a compilation of different types or it make take on a life of its own.”

But don't go rushing to put a label on Demi anytime soon. She's defying genres ... and proud of it!

“I don’t like putting a stamp on my chest as an artist saying, ‘You’re a certain genre, you’re a pop star, you sing R&B music, you are this, you are this,’ and it’s like, ‘Well if I’m making music because it’s a part of who I am, you can’t tell me what I am,'" she tells MTV. “It’s kind of like labeling people and stereotyping people — it’s the same thing — it’s like, just because my one song sounds pop that doesn’t make me a pop artist. Most of mine are pop, but I don’t define myself as one thing or another, I’m just me.”
