Derek Hough Gets Badly Hurt During ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Rehearsal

Poor Derek Hough! The dancing pro spent a "long night" in the emergency room after injuring himself during a Dancing With the Stars rehearsal.

According to E! News, ABC confirmed that the dancing hunk hurt himself during rehearsal. And according to a Facebook update by Mark Ballas -- Hough's friend and fellow DWTS pro -- Hough was not looking too happy about his injury, pouting in a photo of himself in a wheelchair.

"Nothing worse than seeing a fellow dancer get hurt," Ballas wrote. "Especially your brother."

Entertainment Tonight reports that Hough Instagrammed a photo of his injured feet with the caption, "Just getting home from the hospital. Not the best of news. I'm in utter disbelief." The picture has since been deleted.

Hough did, however, retweet a Twitter update from the Rockettes, in which he reveals that he will be replaced by another dancer in the show's Spring Spectacular until further notice:

He later Instagrammed an inspirational photo that courageously, and beautifully, expresses his thoughts on the devastating injury:

No word yet on how his injury will affect his time on Dancing With the Stars.
