"The revolution will be televised!" Those are the first words Sean "Diddy" Combs uttered as he went on YouTube to formally announce the launch of his new cable network Revolt TV. The Bad Boy Records CEO previously described the network as the "music news channel with an urban skew.”

"When I was growing up, I was watching television all the time -- I used to wonder, 'Why don't those people look like me, or talk like me or walk like me?'" he said in the video. Diddy later adds, "I take a lot of pride in having the experience, the creditability, the authenticity and relationships to make Revolt TV the No. 1 name and home for music on television."

Near the end of Diddy's video, the rap mogul relayed his ultimate goal for his channel. "This network will represent the soul of music that's been missing for a long time," he says. "I will not stop until I'm on top."

Revolt TV is expected to arrive on Dec. 12 -- that's 12/12/12 if you are keeping score, folks.
