Demi Lovato delivered a moving performance of one of her most personal songs this week. The 'X Factor' judge sang her heart out with 'Warrior,' the closing track from 'Demi,' and was visibly touched by the experience -- which was for an amazing cause.

Lovato sang the tune at the 2013 Dignity Gala, an event dedicated to ending child trafficking and supporting its survivors. Sporting leather leggings, a black blazer with leather sleeves, black heels and a black top, Lovato's only pops of color were her slicked back hair, which has faded from electric blue to a series of deep teal streaks, and her bright red lips. The look was sophisticated, polished and stunning, letting her voice take center stage.

It's a cause that's likely extra close to Lovato's heart, as she's hinted that abuse may have played a role in the issues (bulimia, cutting, drugs, bi-polar disorder and more) that have plagued her since childhood -- and it's evident in the lyrics, which are rumored to also reference her relationship with her then-estranged, now-deceased father.

"There's a part of me I can't get back / A little girl grew up too fast / All it took was once, I'll never be the same / Now I'm taking back my life today / Nothing left that you can say," she belted, "'Cause you were never gonna take the blame anyway."

We're glad Lovato's got thicker skin -- and that she's willing to share her struggles with the world so they can overcome their own.
