DJ Pauly D is looking to expand his musical horizons beyond spinning other people's records, and with the help of 50 Cent, the 'Jersey Shore' star just may get his wish.

"I’m focusing on music. That’s my passion," he told Billboard. "I’m working with 50 Cent now. I’m going to do an album with him." It looks like he signed that record deal with G-Note after all.

But the forthcoming project won't just be a remix LP. The 31-year-old intends on putting his own signature spin on the music. "It’s going to be a little bit of everything," he adds. "It’s almost like DJ Khaled and kind of David Guetta but my own DJ Pauly D style."

While some naysayers may be skeptical about what the reality star can offer, he has another major celebrity in his corner. The DJ opened for select dates on Britney Spears’ North American Femme Fatale tour, and now the pop star has been invited to warm up the crowd on the European leg of her highly successful run.

Whether Pauly D can develop a recipe for success like DJ Khaled or Guetta remains to be seen, but with 50 Cent and Spears backing the hopeful, he may just be able to get the whole world fist-pumping.
