Donald Trump is finally behind bars... well, his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is, anyway.

The president's star, which he received on January 16, 2007 for his work on reality TV show The Apprentice, was vandalized by street artist Plastic Jesus in Los Angeles on Wednesday (September 19), who fashioned Trump's star plaque with prison cell bars.

TMZ reports that a Trump supporter who stumbled upon the vandalism didn't find the prank amusing, and ultimately decided to remove the artwork on his own.

Plastic Jesus used "instant-drying, industrial strength, double-sided sticky tape" to create the bar-like stripes, which is why it apparently "took the Trump supporter HOURS to remove them."

The prison bars prank is the latest in a string of vandalism to Trump's Hollywood star. In 2016, Plastic Jesus built a tiny concrete wall—barbed wire and all—around the plaque in response to Trump's racist and xenophobic rhetoric against Mexico and Mexican immigrants, including his plans to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border.

In 2018 alone, the star was smashed to pieces a number of times.

Other frequent acts of vandalism include graffiti, spitting and defecation.

In August, a West Hollywood council voted to remove the plaque in light of near-constant vandalism, though it's unclear if and when the star will be taken off the Walk of Fame.
