Hip-hop superstar Drake took to the ice and performed his chart-topping singles 'Headlines' and 'The Motto' at the 2012 NHL All-Star Game in Ottawa, Canada on Sunday (Jan. 29). The rapper was dressed in a No. 12 hockey jersey and told attendees that it was honor to perform at the event.

After performing 'Headlines,' Drizzy then segued into his latest single, 'The Motto,' as the crowd rapped along to the infectious bounce track. "Canada, I love you with all my heart!" he shouted. 'NHL, what's up."

All the NHL players seem to be enjoying Drizzy's performance and some were recording it with their smartphones from the ice. "I think I was the first one to go on the ice on our side. I'm a huge Drake fan, I love his music. I'm a big hip-hop guy," said hockey defensive player Keith Yandle of the Phoenix Coyotes. "I actually asked him to sign a stick. He said it was the first hockey stick he has signed. It was pretty cool."

Afterward, Drizzy went on his Twitter to thank the hockey players and fans for their love and support. "Thanks to everybody at NHL for an amazing night!" he tweeted. "All the players that showed love and all the fans! I got Gino's game stick!!!!!"
