Finally, some Drake news that doesn't involve bottle throwing and Chris Brown! The Toronto-born rapper took home the 2012 MuchVibe Hip-Hop Video of the Year title at the 2012 MuchMusic Video Awards tonight (June 17) for 'The Motto.'Drizzy's hit beat out some stiff competition from his fellow Canucks K'naan and Nelly Furtado, who were nominated for 'Is Anybody Out There?'. Drake is up for four more awards, including Video of the Year for 'Headlines' and International Video of the Year by a Canadian for 'Take Care' featuring Rihanna.

Drake is currently on his Club Paradise tour, which the Young Money emcee promised would be like his own Summer Jam.

Drake's drama with Breezy has led to a slew of rumors over what actually went down, though at least one proved to be untrue: Aubrey Graham (Drake's legal name!) was never arrested, nor were there plans for the police to do so. One eyewitness claims that Drake actually started the melee, though we'll all have to see what the pending investigation finds.

In any case, congrats Drake! Here's hoping he pops champagne to celebrate ... but perhaps he may want to skip the bottle service to be safe.
