Celebrity makeovers -- those happen almost daily, due to the fact that our favorite pop singers, actresses and celebutantes have glam squads that rival the size of some armies.

Stylists, hairdressers, makeup artists, oh my! The A-listers have so many style assistants at their disposal, making their choices and chances infinite when it comes to changing up their looks. However, some of our favorite stars take it to the extreme with their makeovers. That's why we've put together a list of the most drastic makeovers of 2013.

Keep in mind that the term "drastic" is relative, and the description applies to the celeb's personal style. It might not seem super maj, but if it's a something we didn't expect, then it's drastic.

See which hair icon chopped off her locks into a bob after years of long layers; which pop singer and reality singing show star shed the excess weight, returning to her bombshell figure; and much, much more.

So settle in and remember who did what and how with their looks (and locks) in 2013.

  • Jennifer Aniston

The former 'Friend' lobbed off her locks after a Brazilian treatment gone wrong. She is now rocking a beveled, chin-length bob. Since Aniston is so celebrated for her shiny, straight locks, this change was jarring to fans of her strands. She also hadn't rocked a "lob" since 2001 and she was still married to Brad Pitt, so this certainly set us back a decade! Still, Aniston is owning the fun, bouncy cut. At 44, she remains a knockout. Love her (hair), mean it!

  • Jennifer Lawrence

What a difference a year makes! The 'Hunger Games' star chopped off her blond locks gradually. She kept going shorter and shorter at events throughout her Oscar-winning year until she ended 2013 on the red carpet for 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' promotional cycle with this pixie cut. Her face is so gorgeous that she can pull it off, but it's a big difference from her dirty blond waves back in February! Can you say "STYLE ICON?"

  • Demi Lovato

The 'Glee' star, 'X Factor' judge and 'Neon Lights' singer is a true style chameleon! Demi Lovato went from black to blonde to blue with her hair and that was in the space of this calendar year. All we can say is "Deep conditioning mask!" The gorgeous star never sticks with a look for too long and we're always interested in what she is going to do next with her hair. Let's hope her stylist coats her locks with a rich, healing treatment every couple of months!

  • Christina Aguilera

Xtina closed out 2012 on the heavy side. Her performance at the 2012 American Music Awards left critics discussing her weight over her voice, which sucks, but it is what it is. She was not seen for a few months, taking a leave of absence from Season 4 of 'The Voice.' Then she turned up in March, blonde bombshell-style! She continued to show off her to-die-for body through the summer. She is voluptuous, but toned. That's a smokin' hot combo. We also applaud her steamlined glam look, too.

  • Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian, reality star and Kanye West's baby mama, was criticized when she became pregnant -- but it wasn't due to a weight gain. It was her poor choice of fabric when it came to her garments. Leather, really? It accentuated problem areas, rather than working with them. She insisted on wearing ankle strap heels, giving herself cankles and she didn't choose flowy, comfortable fabrics. Who cares, though! She has shed the weight and got her enviable curves back. Look how good she looks!

  • Katy Perry

Pop queen Katy Perry began to ditch the candy-coated image and wigs back in 2012, going back to black, which is not her natural color, BTW. She is a natural blonde! But back to the topic at hand. She has been toning things down for a while now and we no longer feel trapped in a candy store or a sugary nightmare with her look. Instead, she played up her classic, pinup girl style. Gone is the blue hair and the electric eye shadow in favor of dark, rich, mysterious colors, in her hair and her lip shade. Gor-to-the geous.

  • Miley Cyrus

Miley Cyrus may have cut her hair in 2012, but she still managed to make herself over (and over) with how she styled her short 'do, proving how versatile her punk pixie is. She rocked a platinum faux hawk, but then she also began growing out in a sweptover, bob style. With her clothing choices, she was glam. She was ghetto fab. She was everything she wanted to be and more. Cyrus reinvented herself at every red carpet event, establishing herself as a trendsetter and one step ahead of the rest of the pack. While she had some questionable looks (hi, Tupac x Biggie dress and sweatpants jeans), she always looked different and memorable. That's not easy to do with a short hairdo. A one note she is not.

  • Jennifer Hudson

Jennifer Hudson did the chop, chop, chop and it was drastic, not gradual. The singer and Oscar winner, who has rocked long, thick, lush locks of all styles and textures throughout 2013, elected for a super-short cut this fall. The close-cropped look certainly shows off Hudson's incredibly beautiful features and you have to have TONS of confidence to pull this off. That clearly is not a problem for J. Hud.
