Ellen Calls Lady Gaga to Sing Her Happy Birthday, Makes Her a Special Cake

Ellen DeGeneres called Lady Gaga today on 'Ellen' to wish the singer a happy 25th birthday and presented her with a personalized cake.

When Gaga answered the phone, Ellen launched into a special happy birthday song to the tune of 'Born This Way,' singing, "Gaga you were born today!"

She then brought out a large birthday cake she had built for Gaga that contained elements of some of Gaga's most famous outfits, including the red lace crown from her first MTV Video Music Awards appearance. "You can wear it. It's a hat or a dress, or anything you want to make it," Ellen tells the superstar.

During the call, Gaga said her only birthday wish is to be surrounded by family and friends at her concert tonight, which is going to come true.

Gaga told Ellen she was spending her birthday working in the studio, putting the finishing touches on the upcoming 'Born This Way' album. "I can't even begin to tell you how shocked and overjoyed I am that 'Born This Way' is still No.1 for a sixth week," Gaga tells Ellen's audience.
