Dido's collaboration with Eminem, 'Stan,' helped make a name for the singer, and now the British star has named her son Stanley in honor of the chart-topping song.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dido, 40, and her husband Rohan Garvin welcomed their little bundle of joy at London's Portland Hospital in July 2011. However, the singer only confirmed his name in a recent tweet. "I wanted to wish you all a very happy Christmas," she wrote on Twitter on Dec. 24. "I'm ridiculously excited about Stanley's first Christmas this year!"

Stanley's birth has come nearly 10 years after the 'Marshall Mathers LP' track was released. The single sampled the songbird's 'Thank You' in the chorus, offering a beautiful, yet eerie reprieve from the intense lyrics of the 2000 offering.

As fans may remember, Stan was the fictional subject of the song, a superfan who ultimately killed himself and his pregnant girlfriend, played by Dido herself. The music video and song sparked controversy for its subject matter, resulting in short and long censored versions of the clip. Still, 'Stan' was nominated for Best Video of the Year, Best Rap Video, Best Male Video, Best Directed Video and Best Cinematography at the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards.
