It looks like the injury Enrique Iglesias suffered when he grabbed a flying drone with his hands was more serious than initially assumed.

During a concert in Tijuana, Enrique's fingers were sliced open after he reached out to the drones taking aerial footage of the crowd that were flying near the stage. According to E! News, he was advised by his handlers to cancel the rest of the show. That Enrique, though -- he soldiered on through the rest of the night, despite his mangled, bloody hand. That is called professionalism, everyone.

Unfortunately, it looks like things were more serious than first expected, when his team let fans know that he was undergoing "reconstructive hand surgery" yesterday (June 1). His team then posted on Instagram earlier today (June 2), delivering an update from the "I Like It" singer himself. They said, "We wanted to give you a personal update about his condition. His recent surgery lasted longer than expected since the damage ended up being a bit worse than initially assessed. He suffered a fracture that needed to be corrected in addition to the reconstructive surgery. He will be recovering during the next few weeks, but a full recovery is anticipated." Poor Enrique.

Rather than sit around and mope about his injury -- something we absolutely would have done -- he used the blood gushing out of his body through the deep cuts made all over his hands to draw a heart on his white t-shirt during the concert, as a sort of message to fans. It's kind of a gross thing to do, but also kind of sweet. We hope you make a full recovery soon, Enrique.
