EXO vs. One Direction: 2017 Summer Fan Showdown [Semi-Finals]

Summer Fan Showdown is a month-long competition on PopCrush to determine this summer’s most dedicated fan base.

The competition is all fired up now: after millions (!) of votes, EXO's EXO-L successfully pulled away from the mighty BTS A.R.M.Y, pulling through with 50.42% of the vote. It was no easy feat for One Direction's Directioners againstTWICE's ONCE either, but they reigned supreme in the end with 50.01% of the vote. The question is: which fanbase makes it to the final round?

First, there’s the mighty troupe known as EXO. The group might have undergone a few member swaps over the years, but that hasn’t stopped them from becoming one of the biggest South Korean forces in the industry. Just last month, they made history as the 5th (and also youngest!) K-pop act to headline the massive Seoul Olympic Stadium with their third solo concert tour — which sold out in minutes. Will the EXO-L keep the boys afloat and sailing into the semi-finals?

They might not be together at the moment, but there’s no denying that the boys of One Direction — as a troupe or solo — are still killing it in 2017. From Harry Styles‘ acclaimed debut solo album to recent efforts from the likes of Liam, Niall, Zayn and Louis, One Direction is still all over the charts like always — and their faithful Directioners will follow them any which way they go. But will they push the band through to the semi-final round?
