Fall Out Boy Deliver a Violent Prequel With ‘The Phoenix’ Video

Fall Out Boy‘s music video for ‘The Phoenix,’ their second single from ‘Save Rock and Roll,’ picks up right where ‘My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light ‘Em Up)’ left off — in prequel form.

Girls open the van where the band is being held hostage, and they’re set free with a huge, mysterious briefcase. Patrick Stump takes it and sets off a chain of events involving beautiful girls, balaclavas, torture, chloroform — you name it. It’s entertaining, baffling, violent and perhaps leaves more mystery than it solves. For example: How the heck did 2 Chainz get involved?!
