Nearly 100 people were hospitalized following Chance the Rapper's concert in Connecticut on Friday, CBS reports.

Many of the people hospitalized were underage attendees who experienced "severe intoxication," Hartford Deputy Chief Brian Foley said in a statement on July 21.

Foley revealed that 50 underage drinking referrals were made by officers during the Hot 93.7 Hot Jam concert at the Xfinity Theatre, with some arrested and many issued a summons to appear in court.

Tailgating was "extremely prevalent" at the concert, Foley shared, adding that much of the crowd consisted of "people in their late teens and early 20s."
