Fantasia Barrino has been relatively quiet since announcing that she was pregnant two months ago. Recently, the 'American Idol' Season 3 winner revealed that she is expecting a baby boy.

In a phone interview with The Wendy Williams Show, the 27-year-old songbird told Wendy she was having a boy and is due to give birth on Dec. 29, just before the New Year. "I'm at home. I'm on bed rest right now," she said.

Fantasia -- who is also the mother of her 10-year-old daughter Zion -- wouldn't discuss if the child's alleged father is the married (or unmarried?) man Antwaun Cook. Nevertheless, Fantasia seems to be in good spirits in her final stages of pregnancy.

Fantasia appeared on the Wendy Williams Show to debunk rumors that family members of the late gospel singer Mahalia Jackson, whom Barrino was set to portray in a upcoming biopic, were upset with her because she got pregnant before production was to start on the film.

But according to Fantasia, no contracts were signed and the movie is in financial limbo. "I began to gain the weight, I began to study her," she told Wendy. "And then they called us back in January and said the investors had backed out. So they were waiting on investors."

She also added, "I wanted to make the family proud, and most of all, I wanted to make Mahalia Jackson proud -- and my fans and everyone who's been following me."
