Since they broke out in 2000, Coldplay have been churning out amazing records that keep fans coming back for more of their signature sound. The British rock outfit — consisting of vocalist/guitarist/pianist Chris Martin, lead guitarist Jonny Buckland, bassist Guy Berryman and drummer Will Champion — have produced 5 albums in total. Three of their five have gone to No. 1 in the U.S., and all five have shot straight to the top of the charts in their homeland of the U.K. So, which of their five chart-topping albums is your favorite?

In 2000, Coldplay unleashed their debut album ‘Parachutes’ to the world, boasting singles like ‘Yellow,’ ‘Trouble’ and ‘Don’t Panic.’ Although it only reached No. 51 on the Billboard charts in the U.S., it still managed to get certified Platinum twice. Two years later, Coldplay reached superstar status all over the globe with ‘A Rush of Blood to the Head,’ which hit No. 1 in more than five countries and brought them to the Top 5 on the Billboard 200 in America. With singles like ‘The Scientist’ and ‘Clocks,’ Coldplay produced a sound unlike any other before them.

By the time 2005 rolled around, Coldplay fans were practically starving for more music from the quartet. They released ‘X&Y’ that year, and the album went straight to No. 1 in more than 15 countries. ‘X&Y’ was also the first emergence of that epic, anthemic sound that Coldplay has become known for recently, with huge singles like ‘Speed of Sound’ and the climactic ‘Fix You’ hooking in listeners. In 2008, they followed up with ‘Viva La Vida or Death and All His Friends,’ which not-so-surprisingly topped the charts. Songs like ‘Violet Hill,’ the title track and ‘Strawberry Swing’ also helped the guys win the Grammy for Best Rock Album in 2009.

Finally, Coldplay’s most recent album is the colorful, genre-bending ‘Mylo Xyloto,’ which includes a collaboration with Rihanna on ‘Princess of China,’ the dreamy single ‘Paradise’ and sing-alongs like ‘Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall.’ And guess what? This one was another No. 1 for Coldplay! It’s hard to resist their catchy and often moving pop-rock tunes, so it’s really no wonder why they’re such a worldwide musical phenomenon.

So, Coldplay fans, which of their albums thus far has been your favorite? Cast your vote here!
