Did you know that before Maroon 5 actually became Maroon 5, the band played for nearly a decade under the moniker Kara's Flowers? It was a good move that original M5 members Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, James Valentine, Mickey Madden and Ryan Dusick (now replaced by drummer Matt Flynn) ditched that name, getting their big break as the funky pop-rock gods we've come to know and love.

In honor of the band's long-running career (and Adam Levine's 34th birthday today, March 18!), we want to know which Maroon 5 has been your favorite since 'Songs About Jane' dropped all the way back in 2002. Are you into oldies like 'This Love,' or do you prefer M5's newer tracks like 'One More Night'?

As we said before, Maroon 5's first album, 'Songs About Jane,' saw a release back in June 2002. After landing a supporting gig on John Mayer's (who happend to be a friend of Valentine's) first headlining tour in 2003, the guys made their mark on pop music and the spotlight's been focused on them ever since, thanks to singles like 'Harder to Breathe,' 'This Love,' 'She Will Be Loved,' 'Sunday Morning,' and 'Must Get Out.'

In 2007, Maroon 5 hit the top of the Billboard 200 albums chart with 'It Won't Be Soon Before Long,' which found them sticking to their fusion formula of pop, rock, soul, blues, funk and more. The quintet looked to some of their favorite '80s acts like Prince and Talking Heads for inspiration, and M5 dropped five singles off of the LP: 'Makes Me Wonder,' 'Wake Up Call,' 'Won't Go Home Without You,' 'Goodnight Goodnight,' and their sexually-charged duet with Rihanna 'If I Never See Your Face Again.'

It'd be another three years before Maroon 5 would unleash another album, 2010's 'Hands All Over.' Levine and co. must've been fine-tuning their Top 40 prowess during this period, as they scored their biggest (and longest) chart-topper to date, 'Moves Like Jagger,' with Christina Aguilera. Surprisingly, it was actually the last single released from the LP, as 'Misery,' 'Give a Little More' and 'Never Gonna Leave This Bed' all made their way onto the airwaves beforehand.

Finally, in the summer of 2012, Maroon 5 released their fourth studio album 'Overexposed,' which has gone down as another huge success. Along with producers Benny Blanco and Shellback, as well as featured rapper Wiz Khalifa, the guys went to No. 2 with 'Payphone.' Later, they moved up to the top notch of the charts with the reggae-infused 'One More Night,' and they've also released the softer 'Daylight' as a single towards the close of 2012.
