Favorite Taylor Swift Album – Readers Poll
On Oct. 22, 2012, Taylor Swift released ‘Red,’ her fourth studio album. Only a day after the album impacted, many people are already hyping it up to be Taylor’s best album yet — but before songs like ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ and ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ started picking up airplay, Swift released three other extremely successful albums full of catchy songs that fan’s have fallen in love with. So, out of the four LPs to her name, which Taylor Swift album is your absolute favorite?
In 2006, the world was introduced to the singer-songwriter with her eponymous album ‘Taylor Swift.’ At only 16 years old, the country-pop cutie stole the hearts of millions with thoughtful songs about loving and losing, like ‘Tim McGraw,’ ‘Teardrops on My Guitar,’ ‘Our Song’ and ‘Picture to Burn.’ Although the album only went to No. 5 on the Billboard 200 chart, Swift made a lasting impression and it wouldn’t be long before she secured superstar status in the music world.
Two years after her debut LP, Taylor Swift’s ‘Fearless’ hit retailers — fans were obviously stir-crazy for new music from the young guitarist, as this LP shot straight to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and the Country Albums chart after its release in Nov. 2008. Even if you weren’t a huge fan, listeners couldn’t help but learn all of the words to radio hits like ‘Love Story,’ ‘White Horse,’ and ‘You Belong With Me.’
Following the success of her first two albums, Taylor kept up with her signature style of songwriting for ‘Speak Now,’ which dropped in Oct. 2010. She continued to translate her feelings of heartbreak and young love into catchy, sing-along tracks that all of her fans can relate to. With the help of her twangy six-string and her slightly Southern, bubbly vocals, Swift added to her already impressive discography with a string of smash singles like ‘Mine,’ ‘Back to December,’ ‘Mean,’ ‘The Story of Us,’ ‘Sparks Fly’ and ‘Ours.’
And now, ‘Red’ brings Ms. Swift’s official album count up to four. The LP only dropped yesterday (Oct. 22), but fans have been downloading songs and purchasing hard copies non-stop, and we’re pretty much positive that this LP will be another chart-topper for Taylor. Since she’s so kind, Taylor let fans get early listens of most of the tracks, and her official singles like ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’ and ‘State of Grace’ show growth for Swift while still maintaining that trademark sound that Swifties love.
