Favorite TLC Song – Readers Poll
What better way to celebrate the birthday (May 27) of the late great Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes than with a Favorite TLC Song readers poll. TLC pretty much ruled the '90s with their catchy R&B/pop music, which somehow balanced sexiness with strong-minded, love yourself attitudes. So, in celebration of the trio, which sadly lost Left Eye in 2002 after a fatal car accident, we are asking TLC fans to vote on their favorite song from T-Boz, Chilli and Left Eye.
In 1992, TLC released their first album 'Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip,' which had themes centered around friendship, safe sex, loving your neighbor, and relationships. From this album, the girls had many hit singles, with the fan favorites like 'Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg,' 'Baby-Baby-Baby' and What About Your Friends' garnering a lot of airplay.
Two years later, towards the end of 1994, the ladies unleashed 'Crazy Sexy Cool.' This album showed their growth from spunky youngsters to strong, beautiful women. The album has been certified Diamond by the RIAA and produced some of TLC's biggest hits, including 'Creep,' 'Red Light Special,' 'Waterfalls' and 'Diggin' on You.'
Finally, in 1999, TLC released their last album with original member Left Eye, entitled 'Fanmail.' This marked TLC's first No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 and has been certified Platinum six times. Although Left Eye tragically passed away a few years after the release of 'Fanmail,' her legacy lives on through singles like the sassy 'No Scrubs' and the beauty-is-on-the-inside anthem 'Unpretty.'
So, TLC fans, which is your favorite song from T-Boz, Chilli and Left Eye? Vote below.
