Howard Stern has really done it this time. The ‘America’s Got Talent‘ judge caused a 7-year-old rapper to cry on Monday (May 21) after eliminating him with an X.

Mir Money, an aspiring rapper from Philadelphia, Pa., charmed the audience and judges with his pre-performance Q&A, but after launching into his verses, the pint-sized artist was hit with an X from Stern and Sharon Osbourne.

Mir Money’s performance was cut short, at which point the jockey addressed the contestant. “You’re a very nice young man and you know that,” Stern told Mir Money. “No one likes hitting the X on a 7-year-old. You’re very brave to get up there at 7 years old.”

However, before Stern could finish, Mir Money burst into tears as the crowd reacted. The radio personality then went onstage to console the heartbroken youngster. “I don’t want to make you cry,” Stern added. “I’ve met many of great rappers … none of them are quite as great as you.”

As Mir Money left the stage, Stern confessed that he wasn’t quite cut out for being a judge on the show. “I can’t do it,” he said. “Radio is for me. I made a mistake. This is not for me.”

Rihanna has changed her hair so many times in the past several months, going from fire engine red to shaggy blonde to long, black and straight, that it would not shock us if the Bajan beauty went for another bold look.

She shared a photo that has us wondering: Did Rihanna get dreads?

She tweeted a photo of her bad self with the caption: “Wake bake shake dem dreads.” Her beautiful eyes were framed by thick, round dreads.

Obviously, it’s some sort of wig, since actual dreading takes months and starts out with knotted, unwashed locks. RiRi is an island girl, so dreads would be a flattering look for her and a nod to her region of origin.

If RiRi does rock dreads for a few days or months, we pretty much demand that she sing Bob Marley songs while doing so. The fact that she mentioned waking and baking is further indication that RiRi is embracing the 420 culture, which is closely tied to reggae and dread wearers.

Over the weekend, Dev performed at KTU’s KTUphoria concert in New Jersey. While the highlight of her appearance at the PNC Bank Arts Center might’ve been connecting with her fans from the stage, there’s no doubt that meeting the stars of VH1′s ‘Mob Wives’ was a memorable moment.

Dev, who took the stage in plaid pants and black tube top to perform hits like ‘In the Dark’ and ‘Naked,’ stopped and struck a pose with the ‘Mob Wives’ above the hoards of fans. Lucky for us, the ‘Mob Wives’ took a break from their regimen of emotional collapses, violent altercations, and cursing like sailors to snap this pic with Dev. We wonder if all four women hung out together for the remainder of the show, which also featured performances from Adam Lambert, Karmin and Enrique Iglesias.

In case you aren’t familiar with the ladies of ‘Mob Wives,’ they are the foul-mouthed, fist-fighting, gangster-bred Staten Islanders who became famous for their VH1 show of the same name. From the left, that’s Drita D’Avanzo, Carla Facciolo and the biggest gangsta b—– of them all, Renee Graziano, posing with the adorable Dev. While Dev doesn’t have a whole lot in common with these ladies, being from suburban California and probably not having any family ties to organized crime outfits, they all share one common denominator: they’ve got style and attitude.

We wonder if Drita, Carla and Renee will get down to some Dev music at their next tiny winey dinner party…

Based on the all the live appearances Kelly Clarkson has been doing to promote her new single ‘Dark Side,’ from the Billboard Music Awards to ‘Dancing With the Stars,’ the music video should be arriving any day now. In the meantime, the first ‘American Idol‘ has posted some behind-the-scenes footage of the clip online.

The first half of the two-minute preview shows the camera taking close-up shots of people of all ages and backgrounds in a small studio. We can imagine those shots will be used when Clarkson sings about how “everybody’s got a dark side.” Clarkson sings part of the track in this studio, looking relaxed in a loose blouse that hangs off one shoulder. She’s also wearing flip-flops, since her feet are not in the camera shots.

Later, the action moves to a bridge underpass near the Los Angeles River, the spot where last month’s leaked pics from the video shoot were taken. In a form-fitting black gown with green and white patches, Clarkson walks on the dirt next to graffiti-covered concrete as she sings, “Will you love me even with my dark side?”

The shoot wraps up with the presentation of a birthday cake for Clarkson, who turned 30 on April 24. Kelly blows out the one lit candle and jams her finger into the dessert for a quick taste.

Adam Lambert‘s killer new disc ‘Trespassing ‘ debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart this week. Congrats to Glambert on the big bow. While a No. 1 is always impressive, it’s historical in his case, as he is the first openly gay male artist to top the chart, according to Rolling Stone.

So a dual congratulations is in order for the former ‘American Idol‘ runner up.

Interestingly enough, ‘Idol’ alum Carrie Underwood enjoyed a two-week stint at No. 1 this month but was bumped off the top spot by Lambert. With two former contestants jockeying for position and both bowing at No. 1, it proves that the show is still making stars out of its hopefuls.

Tune in tonight to find out if Phillip Phillips or Jessica Sanchez wins (and feel free to cast your vote here). Something tells us regardless of who is named Season 11 winner, both will have careers akin to those of Lambert and Underwood.

Again, congrats to Glambert on becoming the first openly out male musician to top the chart. That’s a huge victory for the LGBT community and they are well-represented by the singer. We hope that Glambert and his BF are celebrating the good news!

Not only did Justin Bieber announce the news of his upcoming North American tour on ‘Ellen’ (airing Wednesday, May 23), he also graced audiences with a performance of his latest single, ‘Boyfriend’ and got his very own graduation ceremony thanks to Ellen DeGeneres.

The 18-year-old superstar wore a navy varsity jacket for the show, which was emblazoned with a “J” on the front and the word “boyfriend” on the back (obviously). The live rendition of the song was aided by a backing track and a coed group of dancers.

Bieber strutted his stuff like a pro, and ventured into the audience to give high fives and connect with fans. Although he offered Beliebers the musical treat and the exciting announcement of his headlining tour, Ellen had a surprise in store for the pop star.

Bieber recently completed home schooling, so the talk show host held a graduation ceremony for the singer. Not only did she give a hilarious commencement speech, but she also gifted The Biebs with a diploma and a custom graduation cap that was designed to keep his famous hair in tact.

Bieber will kick off his 2012-2013 Believe tour on Sept. 29 in Glendale, Ariz., and wrap his run up on Jan. 26 in Miami, Fla. next year.

Zayn Malik was photographed swapping spit with fellow ‘X Factor U.K.’ alum Perrie Edwards of British girl group Little Mix!

The Sun captured the cute couple “snogging” on a North London street while Malik waited to be picked up to leave for his U.S. tour. Zayn and Perrie rode around on a scooter and kissed in full view of the public, who were likely weeping and plotting her demise.

A source told the tab, “They hugged, snogged and mucked about on a scooter while they were waiting for Zayn to be picked up. He was giving her lifts along the road. You could see they are genuinely really into each other,” the source added. “Both were dubious whether they could make it work due to the pressure of their pop star statuses — but they decided they like each other too much not to give it a go.” Awww!

The duo were relatively media savvy about their relationship too, according the spy. “They’ve spent months getting to know each other to make sure they were on track before they went public.” Smart!

Apart from distance and their schedules, there’s one other big obstacle to their blossoming relationship: angry Directioners! After the couple tweeted one another following a date to see ‘The Avengers,’ 1D fans blew up with harassing comments towards Edwards, who has since deleted her account. Play nice, kids!

Ray J is on the mend after being hospitalized in Las Vegas Monday morning (May 21) due to exhaustion and jet leg from his long flight to and from China. E! Online is reporting that the singer is in good health and recuperating at his home in Los Angeles.

Ray J’s rep said he underwent a series of tests to make sure he didn’t have a blood clot in his lungs, which is a potentially deadly condition that occurs after a long international plane flight.

The rep noted that this was the same condition that killed the late rapper Heavy D and Ray J’s handlers were making sure that he was okay. The singer arrived in Los Angeles on May 20 after his 32-hour roundtrip flight from China and drove four hours to attend the 2012 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas.

It was at the BBMAs where Ray J reportedly got into a brief confrontation with Whitney Houston‘s sister-in-law Pat Houston who didn’t want him at the ceremony. Pat and Bobbi Kristina were there to accept the Millennium Award on behalf of Whitney.

Ray J, who use to date Whitney, complained to friends that “Pat ruined what was a great opportunity to honor the woman who I loved.”

We are glad that Ray J is feeling much better. Get well, soon.

Katy Perry‘s ‘Part of Me’ 3D film is on the horizon, dropping July 3. The singer has shared another clip from the film, which she says reveals inner details of her life in a tasteful way. This preview is dubbed ‘Dreamer.’ In it, the pop divas says, “I feel a connection to fairytales.”

You don’t say, Katy!

It’s clear that her world — her life, her stage set up, her costumes, her hair colors — are inspired by bright, colorful works of fiction. In the clip, one of her colleagues gushes, “It’s her dream to get to be herself and inspire other people … It’s Alice in Wonderland, Dorothy in Oz, and she wants fans to experience the world she dreamed up.”

Fans certainly do experience Perry’s fairytale-inspired, pretty, sugary world in concert, and apparently, in the film, since we see her trying on cake-shaped costumes and dresses with lollipop busts.

She also takes a big ol’ bite of pink cotton candy at the end, while dressed in stage regalia. It’s intimate and cute at once. Something tells us that’s how ‘Part of Me’ will be as a whole.

One Direction aren’t simply in demand with their fans. Turns out another act wants to collaborate with the mega superstars for charity… and it’s none other than a fellow boy band!

In a chat with Hollyscoop, the boys of the Wanted revealed that there is no rivalry and they’d actually like to team up for a good cause.

The Wanted’s Nathan Sykes admitted, “I think it’s very expected from the media always trying to put two bands together and trying to start a rivalry. We have no issue with them whatsoever.” It has been established that the two bands from the U.K. get along.

But it’s beyond liking and respecting one another. Sykes mused about the possibility of working together, since it could really be a big deal and raise a lot of cash for a charitable cause. “I think the collaboration between the two bands could generate a lot of cash maybe and we would actually be willing to do it for charity,” he continued.

That’s called using their fame for a good cause.

Jay McGuiness joked that the Wanted would also like to collab with Justin Bieber, which has long been rumored. “I think I would have to rap battle with him and then we’ll see how good he’s doing… who knows,” the singer said.

Charity and rap battles? Those make for good collabs.

For Beastie Boys fans around the world, the loss of Adam ‘MCA’ Yauch has been an incredibly difficult thing to get over. A flood of tributes have surfaced over the last few weeks by famous musicians such as Cee Lo Green and Elton John, as well as covers by cute kids.

Yet, the loss has hit the hardest for the remaining members of the Beastie Boys — Ad-Rock and Mike D — who recently addressed MCA’s passing for first time in the newest issue of Rolling Stone magazine.

Since his passing on May 4 at the age of 47 (after fighting with salivary gland cancer), both Ad-Rock and Mike D have expressed sorrow via various online statements. But the interview in RS is the first time that we, as readers and fans, can truly understand what they’ve been going through, and how MCA’s credit outlet brought a different perspective to the group.

Throughout their 30-plus year career span with the Beastie Boys, the surviving duo credit MCA as being the creative backbone of the group, whether it be because his sheer innate creativity or sometimes getting a little help from elsewhere… drugs. They explained that MCA’s intake of LSD aided heavily in conceiving the aesthetics for the album ‘Paul’s Boutique.’ “The acid experience gave him the ability to see,” they said.

They also state that it was MCA’s willingness to record without fear that made them admire him greatly. “Yauch saw this thing we couldn’t see — and he killed it.” They also mentioned that they were hopeful of Yauch’s recovery because he expressed, “I’m gonna be okay,” in his Buddhist ways, always remaining positive throughout his life. They mentioned their last recordings as a trio, too.

Whether it be during the process of recording or during a performance, MCA went out and gave it his all –something fans around the world could see time and time again.

So what does the future hold? Well, they have yet to make any concrete statements, but Mike D ended the interview with, “Yauch would genuinely want us to try whatever crazy thing we wanted but never got around to.”

From reading the memories shared in the interview, it’s obvious that these two not only lost a band mate but also a great friend and a brother.

Kesha is embracing a rock sound on her upcoming, as-yet-untitled new album. You can get a first taste of her new garage-tinged flavor with ‘Woo Hoo,’ in which Kesha samples Blur’s ‘Song 2′ to create her own party anthem.

“I’m gonna live my life / Like I was raised by wolves / Y’all already know / I’m a f—ing animal,” K-Dollar-Sign sings. Kesha blends her trademark “sing-talking” with actual singing, as well as some raucous yelling, “If you just don’t give a f— / Then everybody throw ‘em up!” She’s not breaking any new philosophical ground, but she is getting the party started. The song also appears to have a cameo from a rapper, but it’s so short that it’s almost impossible to tell who the lucky guy was.

It’s also unclear whether ‘Woo Hoo’ is an older track that only just leaked or if it’s from her upcoming, as-yet-untitled second record. We’re betting it’s the latter.

Two weeks ago, a new song called ‘Pretty Lady‘ leaked, Kesha’s ode to dudes who look (and dress) like ladies. The ‘Sleazy’ songstress confirmed the same day that Iggy Pop would appear on her new record, in addition to guests like the Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne. “I’ve been pretty much in this ’70s rock and roll kick and I just want to capture some of the true essence of what rock and roll is,” Kesha said of her new album. “And that’s just irreverence and sexiness and fun and not giving a f—, so we’ll definitely put a bit of rock and roll in it.”

The trailer for the film adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s ‘The Great Gatsby’ recently hit the Internet, and it gives fans just a little tease of what the all-star movie is about. The clip also features a ten-second snippet of Jay-Z and Kanye West‘s track ‘No Church in the Wild’ (Featuring Frank Ocean) from ‘Watch the Throne.’

“Wild” is the perfect word to describe the trailer. It stars Leonard DiCaprio as Jay Gatsby, Tobey Maguire as Nick Carraway and Carey Mulligan as Daisy Buchanan. According to ‘Good Morning America’ anchor Lara Spencer (by way of USA Today), “the sexual energy” between DiCaprio and Mulligan is “palpable.”

‘The Great Gatsby’ is directed by Baz Luhrmann who has directed such films as the musical ‘Moulin Rouge!’ and ‘Australia.’ The film is set for a Christmas release and is probably seeking Oscar considerations, judging by the opulent look of the production.

The other half of the trailer features Jack White‘s cover of U2‘s “Love is Blindness,” which, in general, is true in real life. Love sometimes is blind.

Who will win ‘American Idol‘ this season? It’s down to the wire now, with only Phillip Phillips and Jessica Sanchez left in the competition for Season 11. The youngsters — Phillips will turn 22 on Sept. 20 while Sanchez won’t even be 17 until August 2012 — have very differing styles when it comes to vocal performances, making America’s decision that much more difficult. So, will rockin’ guitarist Phillip Phillips win the title of ‘American Idol’ this year, or will pint-sized diva Jessica Sanchez be crowned the victor of Season 11?

Last night, during the first half of the ‘American Idol’ finale, the remaining contestants performed three songs — as PopCrush writer Amy Sciarretto explained, the song choices were one selected by producer Simon Fuller, a repeat of a song from earlier in the season and the contestant’s own single. Phillips took on ‘Stand by Me,’ ‘Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song)’ and the original song ‘Home,’ while Sanchez performed ‘I Have Nothing,’ ‘The Prayer’ and her original single ‘Change Nothing.’

In support of his album ‘Believe,’ slated for release on June 19, Bieber will embark on his massive Believe North American tour that will hit many major cities throughout the U.S. and Canada.

‘Call Me Maybe’ songstress Carly Rae Jepsen will be hitting the road with Bieber as his opener (which Bieber teased recently), with the first tour date scheduled for Sept. 29 in Glendale, Ariz. Bieber amd his fellow Canadian hitmaker will then head to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Philadelphia, New York, Boston and many other major cities in the U.S. — they’ll also be performing in Canada on select dates — before the tour wraps on Jan. 26, 2013, in Miami.

Wait… what?! Yeah, you read that correctly. So many clever things are possible in the digital age. The late Tupac can appear at a concert via a hologram. The same hologram can also be shot and part of a faux newscast (thanks to antiquiet), delivered by one of the best in the business: Anchorman Ron Burgundy. You stay classy, Internet.

You can view a photo of a Burgundy news package, with the breaking headline that the Tupac hologram was shot. It’s certainly an intriguing image. Holograms can live and die, if you follow the logic of this image.

We’re not really sure what the backstory is. Creative editing? A possible inclusion in the film’s sequel, which is in the works? A riff on how the digital age pretty much turns the impossible into its opposite?

Katy Perry is back to being unattached. The ‘Wide Awake‘ singer reportedly split with her PDA-loving boyfriend, Robert Ackroyd of Florence + the Machine.

Us Weekly reports that the extremely short-lived relationship came to an amicable end recently and that their hectic schedules are to blame. “It wasn’t that serious,” a source tells Us Weekly of Perry’s relationship with Ackroyd. “It’s not a nasty thing and they are still talking, but Katy told him to do his thing and they’ll talk soon.” Another source assured, “No hard feelings. She’s really busy and so is he.”

The couple first went public at Coachella — very public, as they were all over one another!

”Backstage at the Artist Lounge at Coachella last weekend, Katy kept saying her boyfriend was the guitar player for Florence + the Machine,” a source said last month. “She and a bunch of friends were supposed to go see Dr. Dre together, but Katy said she was waiting to watch her boyfriend perform!”

It sounds like there’s still an open door on this relaysh, so we’ll see what happens when Perry takes that “f—ing vacation” she’s been dying to have.

2 Chainz is speaking out on his arrest from yesterday (May 22).

In a phone interview with MTV, 2 Chainz expressed his frustrations with the arrest. “They tried to assassinate my character, they tried to assassinate my swag,” he vented. “It was just a negative dilemma earlier where someone misconstrued a piece of jewelry for a weapon and stuff.”

2 Chainz explained that his unique style doesn’t mean he wants to fight anyone. “I do exclusive pieces. My pieces are actual conversation pieces, like, literally. When you see my gold, when you see my stuff, it’s something to conversate about,” he said. “People weren’t doing four-finger rings and all that. I just like to set myself apart, so I definitely wasn’t trying to beat nobody up on the airplane or nothing.”

So what exactly went down at the airport? “The knuckles were in his personal bag and sounded the alarm,” a police officer told MTV. 2 Chainz was subsequently charged with with misdemeanor possession of a weapon in the fourth degree and taken in custody, where he stayed for between eight and nine hours.

One of the worst parts of his arrest? Deuce didn’t get his confiscated jewels back. “Yeah, they took it from me, they took the Louis [Vuitton] case that I actually keep the jewelry in, they took that. I couldn’t believe it,” he told MTV. “Me just trying to explain it was getting too frustrating, me just trying to explain my occupation and then when they finally got to the jail and everybody knew who I was, then they started calling their kids and putting me on the phone with their kids. It was like a weird experience.”

With Kurt (Chris Colfer), Santana (Naya Rivera), Finn (Cory Monteith), Rachel (Lea Michele), Quinn (Diana Agron), Puck (Mark Salling) and Mercedes (Amber Riley) all graduating in the latest episode of ‘Glee,’ there were enough goodbyes to go around. However, that did not stop one couple from parting ways by the end of the finale.

The breakup that you might not have seen coming: Rachel and Finn, who were bound for the altar throughout the season. With various parental figures and friends of the couple — not to mention fans — disagreeing with the promotion of a teenage wedding, Finn and Rachel wisely parted ways at Finn’s urgings, who chose to join the army for motivations that revolve around his deceased military father.

In the ‘Goodbye,’ Rachel gets into NYADA, but Finn and Kurt are both rejected. Instead of continuing on to New York alone, Rachel decides to defer for the year and spend the time helping her friends achieve their own dreams before focusing on hers. Finn ruins her plans when instead of driving them to get married, a teary eyed Finn brings her to a train bound for New York so she can start school in the fall.

Not necessarily the most satisfying ending for those rooting for a Finn and Rachel union, but one with a smart message for fans and teens alike. Their parting was full of plenty of crying and bargaining, but in the end they both agreed the need to find their own paths apart before coming together when the time is right. Bravo.

It’s finally here, the farewell episode that bids a fond goodbye to the graduating seniors of McKinley High. While the bulk of the ‘Glee’ seniors won’t be leaving the show completely, the episode takes the time to track the graduates’ trajectories from the past three seasons.

The episode open begins with Will (Matthew Morrison) walking in to the music room to see the students performing one of their older numbers, ‘Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat.’ As in episodes past, he gives the Glee club an assignment; this time it’s to say goodbye to one another. Through song of course. Will starts things off with Rod Stewart’s ‘Forever Young.’

Kurt (Chris Colfer) fondly remembers his high school progression, from the denial of his own sexuality to his legacy, which allows gay students to be themselves without fear. He heads to the auditorium where his father (Mike O’Malley) is waiting to give him his graduation present. Tina (Jenna Ushkowitz) and Brittany (Heather Morris) emerge onto the stage and Burt Hummel proceeds to dance to Beyonce’s ‘Single Ladies.’ Kurt and Blaine (Darren Criss) discuss their impending long distance relationship, and Kurt sings his goodbye song, ‘I’ll Remember’ by Madonna.

Things seem to be moving in a forward direction for everyone but Santana (Naya Rivera). Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt are eagerly awaiting their NYADA acceptance letters, Mercedes (Amber Riley) got an offer to be a backup singer in Los Angeles and Mike (Harry Shum Jr.) received a scholarship, while Santana is less than enthused to be going to Kentucky for on a cheering scholarship.

At dinner with her mother (Gloria Estefan) and Brittany, Santana reveals that she wants to move to New York and her mother tells her she wishes she would go to college. In a not so surprising turn of events, Brittany tells them she has a 0.0 GPA and won’t be graduating with the rest of her class. She is entirely unconcerned about this.

The seniors sing their song, ‘You Get What You Give’ by the New Radicals and we cut to Rachel and Finn (Cory Monteith) picking out chairs for their wedding, with a worried Finn upset that Rachel might be second-guessing their impending nuptials. Finn is confident in his future, particularly his audition with James Lipton, and goes to pick up his yearbook from Mr. Schuester, who admits that he planted weed in Finn’s locker to get him to join New Directions, which just makes him cooler in Finn’s eyes. At home, Finn is worried that he hasn’t lived up to his father’s expectations.

After the other students sing The Beatles ‘In My Life’ to the seniors, Quinn (Diana Agron) is given the focus. Since the high school has been so kind to her she wants to return the favor to others. First she visits Rachel, giving her a train pass so the two can visit one another. She also tells Rachel that her relationship with Finn is meant to be, and Rachel replies that she always felt the same way about Quinn and Puck (Mark Salling).

Continuing her trend of goodwill, Quinn attempts to help a disheartened Puck with his test. She gets his spirits up by telling him how amazing he is, admits her love for him and the two kiss. A newly energized Puck swaggers back into school, ready to take his test.

Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) is polishing her trophy when Roz (NeNe Leakes) suggests they should join forces and take down Principal Figgins (Iqbal Theba). Quinn drops by with her Cheerios uniform, but Sue tells her to keep it, admitting that she admires Quinn for her perseverance and the women hug each other and cry while saying their goodbyes.

Puck and friends eagerly await the return of his test and he proudly presents his C-minus, which allows him to graduate. The scene is immediately followed by graduation, where Finn and Puck sing ‘Glory Days’ by Bruce Springsteen as the seniors happily accept their diplomas

After graduation, Finn, Rachel and Kurt meet up to open their recently arrived letters. Both Finn and Kurt open up rejections, but despite her small envelope, Rachel reveals she has been accepted into NYADA. She decides to defer her acceptance for the year to work with Finn and Kurt on reaching their dreams.

Santana is cleaning out her locker when her mother arrives and hands her an envelope. Inside is all the money she has been saving since Santana was born to put towards college. However, since Santana does not want to go to college, her mother suggests that she use it to get to New York.

In the final moments of the episode, Finn picks up Rachel for what she thinks is their wedding day, but an upset Finn drives her to the train station instead. He has already purchased a ticket for her to start NYADA in New York and the only way for Rachel to do this is be on her own. Finn reveals that he’s joined the army and they will be together again when it’s meant to be. A crying Rachel is met on the platform by all her friends and takes the train into New York while tearfully singing Room for Two’s ‘Roots Before Branches.’

Despite the troubles and tears along the way, the majority of the seniors seem to be on the path to fulfilling their dreams, even if it means saying goodbye to the people they love. Thankfully, if ‘Glee’ has taught us anything, it’s to reach for the stars. No matter what.

Lady Gaga is an emotional mother monster. While she had remained mostly mum during the drama in which Islamic and Christian hardliners protested her gigs — she broke her silence via Twitter earlier today — she came a bit undone onstage, letting her emotions out. It was sweet, tender, touching and 100 percent heartfelt moment. We wanted to run on stage and engulf her in a huge hug.

First, she told her little monsters that she hoped that “good people are with you tonight that make you happy.” She thanked them for buying tickets to see her show. She then took her place at her motorcycle keyboard to play the opening strains of ‘Hair.’

She then said, “People think I stand for like, really inappropriate things. The truth is want the f—ing best for you, for every one of you. I love you with my heart and soul,” she said through tears and a choked up voice. She joked that she was jet lagged, and hence, emotional.

The Mother Monster then declared, “This is not about my clothes or having hit records … people in the world need to be who they are and be proud.”

Amen, sister. We meant mother!

Kelly Clarkson stole the show on the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ finale when she performed a medley of ‘Dark Side’ and her biggest selling single to date, ‘Stronger.’Clad in a sparkly dress with matching glittery smoky eyes and pin straight hair, Clarkson first broke into ‘Dark Side.’ After the first verse and chorus, the ‘American Idol‘ champ launched into her woman scorned anthem ‘Stronger.’ The stage was flanked by dancers, but Clarkson’s powerhouse pipes and newly svelte figure kept the spotlight on her, even when everyone around was shaking what their mommas gave them.

Clarkson stopped to chat briefly after her performance. “Oh my God, it was so good!” she gushed about the dancers on ‘DWTS.’

Clarkson is making a name for herself quickly at ABC, where she will be a coach on the new show ‘Duets.’ The first five episodes of ‘Duets’ have been pre-taped; the rest of the competition will go live on starting June 28 for the last four episodes. Clarkson’s fellow coaches are Jennifer Nettles, Robin Thicke and John Legend. The teams will compete for their singers to receive a record deal from Hollywood Records. She’s also readying for the release of her ‘Dark Side’ video.

Cheryl Cole is back! In addition to releasing her sexy new Calvin Harris-produced jam, ‘Call My Name,’ the singer has unveiled a beautiful ballad called ‘Telescope.’

The song, which is featured on an EP featuring Cole’s latest club-ready single, describes being betrayed by her love. “I’m in the room and you’re in the bed with her / I see the unseen and I am feeling just like a telescope,” she sings.

The tune clocks in just under three minutes, but effectively conveys the emotions that come with an impending breakup. It’s a far cry from ‘Call My Name,’ but it’s hard not to love the contrast of the two songs.

Last year, Cole was fired from the ‘X Factor‘ judging panel, but assured her fans that she was okay. “I feel your presence and strength always, and no matter what decision I make or what it is I’m facing, I appreciate you all more than you’ll ever know,” she wrote to her “little soldiers” on her website.

Cole will release her new ‘Call My Name’ EP on June 10 in the UK, and is expected to drop her forthcoming full-length, ‘A Million Lights’ this summer.

On tonight’s (May 22) pentultimate episode of Season 11 of ‘American Idol,’ Phillip Phillips won the coin toss, so he chose to perform after the lovely diva Jessica Sanchez. Phillips had to perform three songs: one selected by producer Simon Fuller, a repeat of a song from earlier in the season and his own single.

For his Fuller choice, he strapped on that guitar and sang a romantic, semi-twanged out version of the usually bluesy ‘Stand By Me.’ He tinkered with the melody and made it sounds like a Phillip Phillips song. He also made those goofy, rubbery faces he has done all season long. It was unique, like everything the singer does. If the girls do a lot of dialing tonight, he will win.

For his season reprisal, he tackled Billy Joel’s ‘Movin’ Out’ and it was full of dynamics. Phillips went up and down with his voice, was quiet and loud and subdued and emotional, all in the space of three minutes. Wow again, Phil!

His single, ‘Home,’ was his best performance of the night, earning him a judge’s standing O. It had a neo-country twang, like Mumford & Sons. The judges loved the song and the production, saying everything was perfect and that it was true artistry. That may have swung the pendulum and shifted the balance his way.

Judge Jennifer Lopez said it was a battle of opposites, with Sanchez being a belter and Phillips offering artistry and modern crooning.
