Depending on where you live, you may currently be living through an unseasonably warm December. Superfluous sweating and t-shirt weather can make it a little tough to get into the holiday spirit, especially if you associate winter with subzero temperatures and excessive amounts of snow, but never fear: Fetty Wap just dropped an original Christmas song, and if it doesn't get you into the holiday mood, nothing will.

Fetty — who somehow failed to receive a Grammy nomination for Best New Artist despite the massive success of his song “Trap Queen” — teamed up with "My Way" collaborator Monty to create "Merry Xmas."

Delivered over tinny bells and a slick beat, Fetty channels Mariah Carey when he sings, "This is Merry Christmas to you / We’re all in love with Christmas, it’s true / And all I want for Christmas is you / I said, all I want for Christmas is you."

And speaking of Mariah, here's some surprising news regarding what is arguably the greatest (and most popular) original Christmas song of all time: “All I Want For Christmas Is You” is no longer the most-played holiday song in retail stores.

According to Paste magazine, The Shins’ cover of Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime” (already one of the most polarizing holiday-themed songs around, because it is horrendous) has, bafflingly, dethroned the Mariah Carey classic, which has been No.1 since its 1994 release. This means more retail songs are choosing to play The Shins' cover over "All I Want For Christmas Is You." Online shopping has never been so appealing.
