Fifth Harmony's Normani Kordei already flaunted her solo skills once by dabbling in an independent dance project back in July, which pretty much caught everyone (especially Lauren) by surprise.

She's back at the solo thing just under a year later — and this time, she's singing.

This week, the 5H singer uploaded a cover of Tory Lanez's "Say It," produced by The Invaders. To no one's surprise, she sounds fantastic on the melodic track, although it's refreshing to hear Normani taking full control of a track — and one that totally highlights her vocal strengths.

If anything, this cover just proves even further that, as with the group's early acoustic covers of Frank Ocean and Lana Del Rey, Fifth Harmony could do away with the dorky teen sleepover antics and hashtag selfie trendiness of some of their tunes. They're all capable of tackling more mature, meatier R&B-tinged territory. ("We Know," anyone?)

This is just great, and with any luck, a sign of sounds to come on 5H2.
