Fifth Harmony get introspective on "Write On Me," the third song they've shared from 7/27, their sophomore album set to drop May 27. The mid-tempo track is a departure from the flirty brio of "Work From Home" — the quintet's first Top 10 single on the Billboard Hot 100 — and follow-up party anthem "The Life," and finds the girl group asking their beloved to...give them tattoos? Metaphorical tattoos, maybe?

"Write On Me" arrives on the heels of an illuminating new Billboard profile, in which Lauren, Camila, Dinah Jane, Normani and Ally got surprisingly candid about the toll their relentless work and tour schedule has taken on each of them, and the creative restrictions they're under as members of the group formed on The X Factor.

Camila Cabello discussed the "terrible anxiety" she faced in 2015, and the skills she's learned to cope with it: "It was so eff -- sorry, but it was so f--ed up. I was scared of what would happen to me, of the things my brain might tell me. I realized the stuff I thought was important isn't worth my health." Lauren Jauregui and Dinah lament the fact that they've had to miss friendships and family members' funerals while on tour, and Normani admits, "I'm in the process of getting to my high point." As excited as we are for their upcoming album and tour, reading about their collective exhaustion may make you wish they could take a brief, restorative sabbatical (not in the cards for them anytime soon).

Perhaps the most surprising tidbit: Camila's declaration that "nobody wrote on this album." By "nobody," she means that none of the group's members did, and their longing for more creative input is evident when Lauren and Normani tell writer Chris Martins that writing is something they all love to do "in their spare time." In an industry landscape where many rising pop stars — particularly female ones — historically find themselves forced to surrender creative control in the studio, this admission is a refreshing one. It also effectively serves to deepen curiosity about what songs written by 5H's members would sound like.

A photo spread shot by Ramona Rosales complements the piece — though savvy Harmonizers have pointed out a disturbing/confusing Photoshop gaffe on Twitter.

Yeah, Ally probably wasn't born with her big toe where her pinkie toe should be. But, still: Stunning.
