FKA Twigs Gives Birth to Dancers in ‘Glass & Patron’ Video

FKA Twigs' music video for "Glass & Patron" is here!

The unique vid, which debuted as part of the YouTube Music Awards and was directed by the artist herself, is a combination of strange and bizarre and yet a totally fascinating, can't-peel-your-eyes-away-from-it kind of art.

Let's start at the beginning, where the singer is slowly inching her hands down her (just-for-the-music-video) pregnant belly, literally birthing a mix of sheer, colorful scarves that contain wriggling dancers. Basically FKA Twigs is a modern-day magician, only instead of pulling the never-ending scarves out of her sleeve, she pulls them out of… well, you can imagine. (And just see for yourself in the vid above.)

While that concept alone is pretty, um, interesting, the rest of the vid is pretty freaking cool, with FKA Twigs and her dancers killing it down a runway in the middle of the woods. Seriously, they can really break it down when they want to. And FKA Twigs' moves are even reminiscent of Aaliyah, some fans noted in the comments on the vid.

FKA Twigs' "Glass & Patron" vid is just the latest music video to be made for the YouTube Music Awards.
