Double Grammy nominees Foster the People are taking their 'Pumped Up Kicks' on the road for a six-week U.S. tour, starting next May.

As revealed on the group's website, the trek includes indoor and outdoor theaters and pavilions and begins May 29 with the first of two shows at Rumsey Playfield in New York City. The tour is currently scheduled to end July 7 at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas.

The band will bring along three different opening acts for various legs of the tour -- the Kooks, Tokyo Police Club, and Mayer Hawthorne. Tickets officially go on sale on Friday, Dec. 16, but fans can jump start the process by accessing a presale starting now.

Foster the People will warm up for their U.S. tour with a series of dates in early 2012 through Japan, Australia and Europe.
